God is not a distant, unknowable person who is unable or unwilling to help us.
Instead He is a loving, gracious, perfect Father who deeply desires close relationship with us. Through this relationship we discover our identity in Him, our purpose in life and we begin to live victorious lives in our day to day. This relationship with Jesus enables us to live life to the full (John 10:10).
Our Sunday Services are full of expectation.
EVERY TIME WE GATHER THERE IS A SENSE OF EXCITEMENT THAT BUILDS. THE PRESENCE OF GOD FILLS THE ATMOSPHERE AND TOUCHES EACH PERSON. OUR SERVICES ARE UPBEAT AND REAL AND INCLUDE RELEVANT BIBLE BASED PREACHING THAT INSPIRES AND BUILDS us UP.
Our message is one of faith, hope and love.
We have a united vision to build the church by connecting people to God, connecting people to people and empowering people for effective, joyful service.
Called to Australia from Alabama (USA) in 1982, Keith and Janet spent the first fourteen years of their ministry in the remote desert city of Whyalla, South Australia. In 1996 they moved to Newcastle as THE Senior Ministers of Victory. They are passionate to see people set free in Christ, and see this city influenced for the Kingdom of God.
"A life-giving church, empowered by the Spirit, to influence this city and beyond for the Kingdom of God"
A Life-Giving Church
We are a church that desires to bring life to everyone we have contact with. Jesus came to give life abundant and we are committed to seeing this truth active in everyone connected to Victory.
Empowered By The Spirit
We are people of the Spirit. People who experience the presence and power of the Spirit seven days a week - not just on Sunday, in the market place – not just in the gathered church.
Influence our City and Beyond
We are a people with a distinct purpose and a real passion for mission. We are called beyond the four walls of the gathered church and we are committed to meeting the needs of people in our community, nation and overseas, as we are led.
Kingdom of God
We recognise that we are not the whole, but a part of the body of Christ in this city. Therefore, we have a primary commitment to partner with life-giving churches and ministries for the Kingdom of God.
